"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." Hebrews 10:24–25

Arlington Baptist Church meets at 714 S. Monroe Street in Arlington, Virginia. You're welcome to attend anytime! To learn more about our gatherings, plan a visit to Arlington Baptist Church.

Sundays
9:30am – Sunday School

Beginning at 9:30am on Sunday mornings, we have our Sunday School, a time focused on making disciples of Christ by offering classes for children, youth, and adults. Children's classes meet in classrooms along the ground floor hallway, and youth meet on the third floor. Parents should be able to check kids in beginning at 9:15am. Adults are welcome to attend the class in the Fellowship Hall, the membership course, or serve in the nursery (if childcare approved), all on the ground floor.

10:30am – Sunday Morning Service

At 10:30am we hold our Sunday morning service, where we gather for about an hour and a half to sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, offer prayers of praise, confession, and intercession to God, hear God’s Word read and preached, and observe the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper (1st Sunday of the month). We are a family-friendly church and children are more than welcome to stay in for the service, though we provide nursery care for children ages 0–2 as well. Parents should be able to check kids in beginning at 10:15am. Preaching at ABC is generally expositional, meaning that it seeks to declare the point of a particular biblical passage. All preaching is driven by the gospel, the Bible’s main message of God saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We sing a hymn encapsulating the theme of the sermon and then take our seats once more for a brief moment of silent reflection. We often stay around to fellowship with one another after the service, and we have been known to take over the seating at a local restaurant, meet in someone’s backyard for a picnic, or gather at a nearby park for lunch afterward.

5:00pm – Sunday Evening Service *(We meet on the 1st Sunday of every month.)

We come together at 5:00pm to lift up our praise to God in song. We hear announcements and share matters for prayer from both our corporate and individual lives, including things like evangelistic efforts, special needs, and birth and wedding announcements. We then lift up our petitions and praises to God. Once we've prayed together, we hear a brief devotional from God's Word. The service concludes by singing a hymn and reflecting on God's Word. Fellowship usually follows as members take time to talk and enjoy each's other's company.

Wednesdays
6:30pm – Fellowship Meal

Wednesday Night Bible study begins with a fellowship meal at 6:30pm. In other words, dinner is provided. All are welcome (members and guests).

7:00pm – Bible Study

Members and guests assemble for an inductive Bible study in which we think through a small passage of Scripture together. We are currently studying through the Gospel of John. Our goal in Wednesday Night Bible Study is not simply to learn from the selected text but to learn how to study the Bible in our private devotions and apply it to our personal lives. Members freely participate in the textual discussion, some focusing on a translator’s rendering of a verse, others looking more at how that verse affects some aspect of their spiritual life. When our discussion wraps up around 8:00pm, we pray, sing a verse of a hymn, and are dismissed.
