Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. -Proverbs 27:17 (ESV)
Every year the men of Arlington Baptist gather for a weekend retreat a nearby wilderness camp to joyfully worship and honor the LORD through prayer, songs of praise, biblical teaching, and fellowship. We strive, by God's grace, to challenge and encourage our hearts to greater godliness and to build and strengthen our brotherly bonds in Christ as we discuss God's instruction and promise for our lives and enjoy group activities and free time with one another.
Arlington Baptist sponsors two men's groups that meet at a local restaurant to discuss Christ-centered literature, related Scripture, and to enjoy fellowship over a hearty breakfast. The groups gather every two weeks, one on Friday at 7AM and the other on Saturday at 7AM.
Throughout the year, the men of Arlington Baptist get together for formal and informal fellowship nights to hear teaching on theological topics, to celebrate birthdays, successes, and milestones, and otherwise rejoice at each other's happiness. In all this, we endeavor to honor God as we walk together, by His kind help, in brotherly love.
